FAU Newcomers’ Club launched
On March 3rd, a small group of FAU /UK employees, postdocs and doctoral students from Germany, Brazil, Poland, Yemen, Iraq and Italy met for the time in the frame of the FAU Newcomers’ Club. While some of them had just arrived in Erlangen days before, others have lived here for years and are interested in the intercultural exchange. The participants enjoyed a small breaktfast and exchanged some ideas regarding joint activities, such as hiking excursions or a board game night.
The FAU Newcomers’ Club, initiated by the Faculty of Medicine, is a platform for newcomers from all countries and their families. The Club aims to be a starting point for joint activities. From now on, every second Thursday, a different aspect about the region will be presented. Afterwards, there is time to get to know the other participants over tea or coffee.
