Information for first-year students

In addition to the welcoming ceremony for first-year students of both medical programs in the winter semester 2022/23 on April 17-18, 2023, an informative event will be held for first-year students of the Erlangen/Bayreuth medical program on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, starting at 2:00 p.m. until about 3:30 p.m. in the large lecture hall of the Hörsaalzentrum, which is located at Ulmenweg 18 in Erlangen.

During the event, the FAU Medical Faculty’s representative for the Upper Franconia Medical Campus, Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Jürgen Schüttler, will provide information about the special features of the program and the modalities for changing locations in the second stage of studies. In addition, the spokesman for the Clinic Directors of Klinikum Bayreuth GmbH, Prof. Dr. Christian Stumpf, representing the Medical Director, will present Klinikum Bayreuth as a cooperation partner for clinical training. Finally, students involved in the Student Representative Council (FSV) will report on their experiences with the new medical degree program in Erlangen and Bayreuth. All speakers will then be available to answer questions from first-year students.
